Ginkgo Cascade Pendant
A symbol of longevity for good reason, the ginkgo tree is a "living fossil" -- it's ancestors date back 270 million years! The distinct fan-shaped leaves turn a brilliant sunny gold in Autumn and the trees are hardy enough to ornament country roads or beautify urban streets.
The original models for my sterling silver ginkgo pendants were life-cast from leaves I collected at Alfred University in beautiful rural Western NY. Ginkgo trees line the main entrance road to the campus next to Harder Hall (the Art building!) - where I spent most of my time at college.
These sterling silver pendants are lightly oxidized to bring out the veins of the leaves. The smaller leaves loop through the back of the larger leaf for extra movement. Available with your choice of an 18" or 24" chain.
